  This was more enjoyable than i anticipated, in spite of Branagh’s terrible direction. The whole thing seemed so amateur. But maybe that added to the fun?

  This wasn’t at all the film I thought it was going to be. At first this was a bad thing but increasingly as it went on it became a good thing, but in a really horrible way. Quite grateful to have gone in blind and experienced the full impact, even if I’m suffering now.

  I just wanted some more Keira Knightley at Christmas after finishing Black Doves 😩

  La La Land 2016

  There are three things I hate about the film:

  1) any white man saviour/gatekeeper of jazz scenes
  2) the musical note apostrophe in Seb’s
  3) the fact that it’s only five years later but Mia has been able to become an a-list actor, get married and have a kid that is at least two years old in that time

  But it doesn’t really matter because the rest of it is so perfect and I still bawl my eyes out every time.
