You know what? This movie is a masterpiece. Kate Winslet is outstanding. Andy Sandberg is amazing. The filmography, the framing tale, the shots, the storytelling... The movie deals with damn hard topics and makes it worth watching. This movie felt made for me to watch on some levels. Hard to watch through the lens of now, of course, but so worth watching.

This documentary interviews women in the comics field. From retailers to writers, from artists to fans and everyone in between, this documentary focuses on these interviews to tell the story of the female comic book folks.
While these interviews are excellent and this film very much needed to be made, it lacks a strong framing narrative and as a documentary and/or as a movie it isn't very strong. That said it is very strong as what it is: interviews of the diverse folks in the comic book industry who are female.

Wow. The art animating this film is incredible. So much intertextuality. So much fun. Great music. Wonderful plot and voicing. Honestly, I couldn't recommend this film enough. See it. You won't regret it.
