  I am going to be so annoying about making everyone I know watch this. Stunning cinematography. Quietly intense acting. Just a beautiful, affecting, and deep meditation on queer life in free, open spaces.

  Charlie Plummer, Eve Lindley, and Mason Alexander Park especially give stand-out performances. The Perfume Genius tracks add a lot, too.

  Ah, documentaries about trans women. There's a kind of assumption about them at this point just because trends and tropes are so rampant in the genre. Trans women looking at themselves in the mirror, waffling between self love and self loathing. Trans women talking about "the surgery". Putting on clothes and makeup and talking about sex and being brutalized in the same breath.

  I don't know how but even though Dressed in Blue does all those things it still manages…
