Overhyped, even though I liked the dynamics of rage and sorrow and how that shaped the detective's journey in conjunction with the father's descent in darkness. The movie lacks that depth in dealing with invoking a certain state in the viewer, and honestly I didn't like how the mother is the abductor, like, why is that? There isn't enough motivation for why they chose to convert people into devils except for the little conversation in which she mentioned her religious grief after the death of her son (which wasn't dealth with enough to justify all the incidents).
