Why the title? The critic Tim Dirks explains: "It is claimed that Groucho provided the following recipe: `Take two turkeys, one goose, four cabbages, but no duck, and mix them together. After one taste, you'll duck soup the rest of your life.' " Roger Ebert Review, 2000.

Terrific follow up to the original, Krasinski makes this feel like a continuation rather than a sequel. The intense, suspenseful, and thrilling action, that made Part 1 entertaining, is seamlessly carried over into Part 2 without losing any momentum.

The performances were fine, I thought Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus had good chemistry together and I would like to see them paired up again.

The issue with Downhill is, it's a movie that does not seem to know the direction it wants to go. There are scenes that appear to be heading towards this being an over-the-top comedy going for laughs, followed up by scenes that are pulled back and trying to make a profound statement about life. There is not a consistent tone.

Roughly, 78 years after this film was made, I had the pleasure of viewing it for the first time.

Instantly, I was transported to 1940s Morrocco, where fear and uncertainty was on the mind of all Europeans. I could sense the hope of the French refugees, as they desperately attempted to flee Europe to come to America.

This is what makes films such a powerful art form.
