  The first 30 minutes were filled with a lot of awkward quips and punchlines. I think just because you acknowledge that something is a cliche doesn’t stop it from being cliche. That, mixed with the mumbling and absolutely insane costumes didn’t give me much hope but then through some intriguing flashbacks starring a girl doing an amazing Blake Lively voice started to change my mind.   it made me appreciate Immaculate a lot more. The last half was not very exciting  but it was visually appealing and the monster/birth scenes were very affecting. The British/American/Italian church was confusing and the younger girl plot was unsatisfying but it was acted well.
