Varda clearly had a great artistic vision. The slick camera movements and calming colors were simply enjoyable to watch.
Mona is constantly objectified and reduced to what people can get from her. As I watched people preform these self serving acts of charity, I questioned whether any acts of service are purely selfless? Monas objectification along with her stubbornness ultimately causes her to wither and die.
