A very philosophical movie about the beginning of life, creation, and complex themes. Love the idea behind the movie and can appreciate it for that. Unfortunately they don’t explore beyond the surface, making it feel underdeveloped. Other problems I have with this lie in the execution of the film (the script mainly), the character decisions being unfounded and sometimes plain stupid. Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood 2019
The standout of the film was definitely DiCaprio, giving the best performance in this film, although I also consider Pitt gave one of his career's best. The entire film kept me entertained and I also loved the editing. Things culminate very nicely in the 3rd act and it concludes with a batshit finale with the Tarantino sauce you'd expect. My biggest issue would be how it feels very wonky structure-wise since I sometimes lost what the point of some scenes even was. I consider it a good film, and I enjoyed it more this time around.
