Dead Poets Society 1989
“O Captain! My Captain!” A little predictable likely because this film was an instant classic that inspired so many others. Also, the 1980’s pacing was a bit too quick, but I can see this film being perfectly brilliant when it was originally released. Williams’ performance was outstanding.

Poorly written and predictable with too much of a focus on a sequel. However, had a great time just laughing at how ridiculous it was! Especially a particularly terrible CGI scene involving Las Arañas in the trees that was shown not just once but TWICE! (Wanted to get more bang for their buck). And I know Cassie had a tough upbringing, but did she really have to be such a jerk? I was dying. So terrible it was actually entertaining. But how did they make a whole movie with hardly any spider women scenes?! I wanted to see their costumes!

Interesting but missed the mark. It was clever in how it depicted both points of view—the female’s and the male’s—since they both seemed like they could be the villain in this dating game. Very relatable and presented accurate confusion and fear. But it got off track towards the end by trying to reach a particular goal rather than depict a more realistic progression.
