If I was rating based on my enjoyment alone I would probably give it a 3/5, and if I was rating on quality alone I would probably give it a 4/5, so I think 3.5/5 is a fair middle ground. The humor is definitely not timeless, most of it fell flat for me or just felt like they were trying too hard, but from a technical standpoint I can appreciate how well made the movie is. As a lover of comedies I’m glad I finally watched this one, but it’s not one I see myself ever revisiting.

While I do prefer Evil Dead II, I can’t deny just how bold, impressive, fun, and epic this movie is. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell’s evolution from The Evil Dead to Army Of Darkness is very admirable, they work so well together!
