veselka is my comfort spot in nyc and has been for years. it was the first restaurant my new friends took me to to give me my first authentic east village experience. it was where my fiancé and I had our first dates, sitting outside in the cold under a heater in the outdoor dining booths. it continues to be a haven every time we’re in the area.
