  Masterly directed and made with love. Wonderful film.

  This film of Hou Hsiao-Hsien made me think about the director's craft. Director needs to work constantly improving his craft. Hou Hsiao-Hsien, just like Ozu, practiced in the beginning of his career. Some criticize the "commerciality" of this piece, however, I found it masterfully crafted and also made with love and kindness.
