I love the bold choice to have our primary POV characters just absolutely fucking suck, like only just barely in a charming way, frequently in horribly uncharming ways, just bottom of the barrel shitheads. Also love doing the Leo point every time I saw something I recognized from Star Wars. Also everyone says it but yes it truly is one of the most nailbiter compellingly shot duels in anything ever.

I think it's okay for a movie to just primarily be a fun adventure, especially when it's got very cool good politics and ideas just sort of naturally baked into it. Systems that devalue life feel icky, life has inherent value. Even the scene where she's stoked about there being two of him feels appropriately icky. The characterization of their two personalities feels more like a thematic device than a justified character choice, but once you're on board with it it's a very fun dynamic. Shit rocks dude, more high budget goofy shit like this please.

hahahaaaaaaa yeah so like I cried at the trailer for this thing so I knew it was gonna absolutely disintegrate me. It's this type of connection that genuinely feels like it transcends time and space, that you notice so acutely when you're sitting on the edge of what you feel it could be. And there's no better way to describe what it means to you than abstract, star-crossed metaphysical insanity. And truly identifying it as such is the kind of…
