Latvians are so excited by this film, it’s everywhere in Riga and I saw it as a duty to see it while here. Arguably the best type of film to see in a foreign country, no dialog but ease of mutual understanding of the animals interactions and ability to work together against a common threat. Everyone is so used to ultra realistic animal animation with voices from Disney and Pixar, what this film does perfectly is recognise animation as a form of art and how beautiful story telling can be achieved with animals being animals, all on open animation tools!
