Beautiful cinematography, but dang. Nobody could’ve warned me enough for that. Sobbing the whole time. The parallels were beautiful but also gut-wrenching. Why’d she have to have a daughter 😭😭. Also the main character was kinda a jerk. But I understood some of where she was coming from at the same time. Don’t think I could watch it again cause it wrecked my emotions for a solid 3 hours.

I liked it until the end. Mostly. It definitely had the classic sexist joke and typical fangirl stereotype, but what can I say. Ever since Starstruck, I just be eating up the “male pop star falls for small-town girl” trope. I truly believed in Tad Hamilton. Petey was just throwing himself a pity party. He did not deserve her. I think Tad deserved another try. So anyway the end sucked and that’s why it gets two stars.
