    Popeye

    ★★★★★

Jumped from a 3 star to a 5 star on a second viewing. Everything that once seemed bad about Popeye now feels charming and funny. This is pure joy if you’re all at once a fan of Robert Altman, Harry Nilsson, Shelley Duvall, and pre-code style slapstick comedy. Can think of very few musical number sequences as good as “Everything is Food.”

Will they complete Baboons: a Pep Boys Story? We’ll need to stay tuned in to the HEI network.
