Watched this one at Madras Film Club Screening. When the movie finished and the final credits were rolling. The entire audience where in complete silence. I myself was completely shocked and blown away by the climax.

My perception about cinema, changed after watching Pather Panchali. It is about showing the experiences of character to the viewer. Pather Panchali is all about taking us to the world of it. It shows the pain, frustration, joy and the longing of the characters. The movie did not expect my sympathy for it's characters but shows the plight of the characters. We are just the bystanders who is watching the family.
