    roughly 100 minutes of mr. nepotism himself Sam Levinson sucking himself off, with some of the most pretentiously vain writing I’ve seen for a screenplay in ages. and it’s all because his fragile ego wasn’t able to stomach a piece of criticism, in true manchild fashion. doesn’t help that he purposely uses two black actors in the main roles (JDW in particular is very clearly being used as his mouthpiece), so when the critics inevitably panned it he’d feel justified in saying they didn’t get it cause they’re white & privileged.

    at least it was visually splendid.

    Joker is unrelenting, raw, & poetic.

    The beauty of this film really derives from how director Todd “The God” Phillips doesn’t really ask the audience for understanding or empathy. For better or worse, we’re given an unfiltered look inside the soul of a man that’s warped enough to cast his shadow on Gotham’s unremitting darkness.

    I think this film might be the most intense & chill-inducing cinema experience I’ve had all year. 

    Very rarely at movies I just freeze up, mouth wide open, and get goosebumps all over my body. The only other time I've felt that this year was with Hereditary but this happened to me twice during this movie.
