I don’t see why you leave out Brolin’s final shootout scene. If you can’t tell by how I’m starting this review, yes it kind of upsets me. The movie also starts out with only the aftermath of a shootout. So maybe it’s a full circle type thing?
Sugar is still a goated villain lol. Surprised the Hollywood vultures have not tried to make a part two with Bardem’s character. Let’s keep it the way it is.

3.75 ⭐️ A lowkey sucker for political drama or power struggle centered movies. This movie was bailed out a bit by some of the beautiful shot cuts and sound editing. Kinda felt a bit reality show-ish. Actually thought the political commentary was reasonable…I mean the papacy is supposed to be political. No surprise with who won the battle royal though, speech was very mid. Ultimate winner, liberal Catholics.
Definitely one of the better opening scenes in any zombie movie. But it very quickly descends into some cheap irrational action thriller. And the military FUBARed this one.
