Definitely no Parasite or Memoirs of Murder but double decent nonetheless. Way too much exposition and Pattinson voiceover (although his wimpy voice acting and accent is great). Movie needed to Show more and Tell less.

You don’t get the title card until what feels like the end of Act I, 30 minutes in. Mickey 1 through 16 should have been a memorable 20 min montage max imo with little to no dialogue. Imagine how comical yet simultaneously saddening…

Not bad. Completely serviceable with a few highlights and some lowlights. Very much on par with Quantumania and The Marvels. Green screen looks horrendous at times and the ADR is noticeable, but that might have just been because I was in the Know regarding the rewrites/reshoots this project underwent to restructure the story. Feels like a decent Frankenstein’s Monster of different plot lines that ultimately works, but is no where near the peaks of ANY of the other Cap movies.…

Cate Blanchett carries hard. Jamie Lee Curtis was a nice addition to this ensemble. Kevin Hart is trying to be a serious, tuff, macho man to steer away from his funny guy typecast and it doesn't work. And unfortunately, Jack Black delivered the hell out of the lackluster lines he was given and most of them don't land.

This needed to have been rated R.

Took my favorite aspect of Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut (the discussions of Eternalism) and made it pivotal to the twist of the movie. Little details have deeper meaning and heavier emotions behind them once you take a step back and see the entire picture. Denis Villeneuve just doesn't miss dude. This movie hit me in the heart.

Would you follow through with something important and emotionally significant if you know it ends poorly?
