having never done snow i can only speculate but this felt like the longest line of pure white anyone can fit up their nostrils…

focusing on a counterfeit - to live and die is about can we spot a real from the fake? is anything an original or is everything a copy?

friedkin takes this question to its logical limit when in the end - all the pieces remain the same. vukovich becomes chance. he keeps his ex-partner’s informant / sex…

people expecting parasite when they should be anticipating snowpiercer + okja

    mickey
is a funny class comedy that emotes using spielberg beats about inter-species camraderie and makes some salient points about how companies would kill us with work if it was legal / allowed

given last year’s biggest sci-fi project was a sequel that over-prioritized its effects, set design, and action pieces - it’s really nice and refreshing to see a movie set in space on a foreign planet with much more heart

the threesome conundrum alone warrants a $15 movie ticket

    so fun & freewheeling —

the open road, often touted as the symbol of american freedom, finally inhabited by women relinquishing their marriages, homes, jobs, the law and all that suppresses their individuality

why would they go back? a return to the domestic would be its own death

    fly, thunder-bird, fly!!

only my 2nd altman and almost immediately i can draw a clear line to my favorite contemporary directors — from doofus coen brothers protagonists to pta’s americana

mccabe & mrs miller is as brutal an indictment of “free enterprise systems” at work as they come.

namely, how any business only exists to feed a larger conglomerate and if u dont bend to the will of the market — violence will leave u dead in the cold

    simultaneously heartbreaking and hilarious
