Having known this case beforehand, I was expecting the movie to suggest the horrifying and cruel nature of the real-life case more accurately, instead it felt like the film downplayed its severity, minimizing its impact on the victim. I don’t know if it does justice to the depth of suffering the victim endured.
It's a tragic story, but the film doesn’t quite capture the full extent of the nightmare.
Of course, it's possible that I’m wrong and the portrayal only shows what the victim was comfortable with disclosing, which is completely valid and I fully support that.
