Schoolgirls 2020
Having experienced a very similar upbringing, going to an all-girl catholic school in South America in the 90s, I found this story very moving and it even made me feel nostalgic (and angry) about my childhood. I can see how people who did not, or are culturally different may not appreciate it as much.

Pieces of a Woman 2020
A boring story of a very difficult topic. The acting was just ok, although the birth scene and the court scene are moving and strong, both thanks to Kirby. Could’ve used more editing, fleshed out characters more and avoided cliches like the Apple orchard symbolism and the disposal of ashes. I wasn’t sure if I was watching an indie movie, artsy film or a Hollywood commercial drama.
