The Wild Robot 2024
Great cozy time movie :)
Interesting take on AI learning and its possible implications, mixed in with some classic life-lessons about love and family. It is a solid movie which despite the resolutions in the main plot, it still leaves you thinking about how we will deal when machines are able to start understanding emotions (if they ever are capable of such a thing at all).

Whew... that was a weird one.
The Substance is a masterful example of Sci-Fi Horror/Thriller. From the ridiculous effects of the substance (which essentially came out of a Black Mirror episode) to the gut-wrenching, hair-raising body part breaking.I was uncomfortable. The whole time.
Yet, I couldn't look away. The pacing was such that every time you thought you understood how things work, another curveball was thrown. You had to sit through the hard-to-stomach parts in order to keep up…Translated from by

Nosferatu 2024
Nosferatu is one of those movies that I feel cannot always be fully appreciated by the average viewer, myself included. Similar to Poor Things last year, I knew I was witnessing a cinematic intricacy that was beyond my level of understanding. That being said, I certainly couldn't take my eyes off the screen.
Even at the most uncomfortable moments, it kept delivering. Sex sells, but who's buying right? Even though I thought it went a little overboard with it's focus…
