  I watched this at a standard 6pm showing on a Tuesday. I was the only person below the age of 60 there.

  Blink Twice 2024

  Watching this I couldn’t help myself from thinking about Jordan Peele’s “Get Out”. 

  Although tackling different themes, it is structured similarly and delivers its social commentary in a similar way. And once I saw this the film was lost on me, where the shocks were no longer shocking. 

  It’s not a problem per se for movies to take inspiration from elsewhere. I guess my problem here is it didn’t do anything different to what Get Out did. And Get Out is a film we absolutely don’t need a remake of. 

  I look forward to see what Zoe Kravitz writes next though.
