One of the prettiest films I’ve seen in a while, with stellar performances all around. Didn’t love every turn the story took, but I think it kinda didn’t matter when the vibes were so good.
Who knew Catholicism was so messy?
Every performance, every line read, every conversation is just 🤌. All six leads are so handsome (seven with Brosnan, even though I wish we got more of him). Immaculately paced, with not an ounce of fat left throughout the 93-minute runtime. Also made me think about how much I love my wife ❤️

Extremely high on the “fuck-yeahs-per-minute” scale. Some highlights:
- Clancy Brown
- nunchucks
- samurai cops
- actual samurai
- Hiroyuki Sanada
- death by playing card
- fat, asthmatic German guy doing sick spin kicks
- jacked Seth Rogan
- everything Ian McShane says
- throwing several axes at several dudes’ heads
- oh that’s just Hotline Miami
- fire shotgun
- dog eating a guy’s nuts (twice!)
- Shamier Anderson
- backpack that flips into a bulletproof vest…
