  I think this was the best thing I watched all last year. It’s magical and desperately dark. In terms of setting and story it reminded me a little of Chris Beckett’s Dark Eden novel, though this is a wonderfully original peice of work. It looks and sounds soo good, and the world building and creature design is stunning and just really fun. Maybe only animation can give imagination this much room to breathe, and every little detail, character  and sequence…
