Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023
This film made me want to go home and hug my dog.
Great looking visuals. Slow-mo, nostalgia music videos punctuated with the good humour the series is known for, dialed down slightly to let the dramatic scenes breath.
Harrowing scenes of animal cruelty which, whilst bordering on being a bit much for me, didn't completely detract from the story. A satisfying and fitting closure to the story of these characters.
Adam Warlock and the main villain of the movie were highlights.

The Banshees of Inisherin 2022
Loved it. Hilarious and sad, metaphorical mirroring of the time. Everyone on form with great characters in a beautiful setting.
As with the other, we'll be quoting it around the house I'm sure... and planning a holiday to Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way, mainly to sit in the pub from 2pm and listen to fiddle music over a few pints.
