I indulged in the guiltiest of pleasure in this film and was not only sated, but genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed the film. This plague-bringing, sex-dreamin, chicken corpse version of Nosferatu offers a great depiction of romanticized “yearning” over a Puritan-ized Victorian sense of dread. Adjectives!
Lil Skarsgård’s guttural voice could absolutely level the singer of Disturbed in a battle for “Ooh-wah-ah-ah”. Any criticism of the director (aka my mans) and I will yell “Legger my Eggers!”

What a naughty fun film, but could have used a little more “naughty fun”! Features one of the most effective Rezner/Ross scores. The mundanity of a tennis match (sorry not sorry) and petty human behavior scored by pulsing house music created a cognitive dissonance that only weenies and boring folks wouldn’t appreciate. Probs 2/3 of the population, let’s be real.

The sound in the theater was fucked up so it was really loud and sharp, which made me feel even filthier. Satan’s stink is all over this one, so in other words GREAT.
