  Elevator to the Gallows 1958

  From the first moment you hear Mile’s Davis blow his trumpet to the final scene in the darkroom.
  Incredibly charming. 

  I was first amazed that anyone could scale a building on a rope that thin then the hits kept coming. 

  The very suave Julien Tavernier smoking an entire pack of durries in an elevator whilst not breaking a sweat. Then having the capacity to pull himself in and out of it through the service hatch.

  When all us in the comment section were saying “come to Brazil!” no one could have seen this coming. Rio brought to nothing but ash and dust. 1 million dead. Not a tear from cast and crew shed.
