Elevator to the Gallows 1958
From the first moment you hear Mile’s Davis blow his trumpet to the final scene in the darkroom.
Incredibly charming.I was first amazed that anyone could scale a building on a rope that thin then the hits kept coming.

I went in totally blind, one of the rare few who had not seen a single bit of content prior, and (I guess) thankfully so.
Not being swept up in the insatiable hype was a blessing. Viewing it as a thriller with no pretence started me off just fine.Love the style. Love the setting. Mainly, hats off to the whole sound team. Crispy, well produced, well mixed and layered SOLIDLY.
