Honestly not surprised that filming this gave a load of people cancer. The visible sheen of chemical contamination on the top of the water is absolutely disgusting

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2004
I had such high expectations for this film and was so selective about when I’d finally watch it because, on paper, it has all the hallmarks of a film that should break me—but it didn’t. Somehow, it fails to create the deep emotional pull that a love story should have, and honestly, I just didn’t care for any of the characters. The writing is strong, and the editing is really well done, but otherwise… meh.
