    Beautifully simple, simply beautiful.

The cinematography and motifs bring this story to life. It was absolutely moving how delicately this story was told.

When the son of an ordinary family brutally murders his mother and sister, his father is left to bear it all. This film does not focus on the violence of the matter, but the journey of forgiveness and understanding. This film also handles mental illness very well and that's something I really appreciated about it.

    The Rule of Jenny Pen

The film taking place in a retirement home is what caught my attention. Unfortunately, maybe you have to be in a retirement home as well in order to understand what the fuck is going on. I'll come back to this in 60 years.
(JK, take me behind the shed and shoot me before making me watch this again, or putting me in a retirement home).

At the half way point I thought the film was going to dive into an interesting psychological take. A particular scene signified that it was- but nope.

This is my comfort film (episode).

    "I'm not queer, I'm disembodied"

This film is 10x more heartbreaking upon the second-watch. But in the way you'd feel sad for a 3-legged dog. The spectacle of watching a man yearn and desire for something he will never have to the effect that his (romantic, really sexual) hopes become his addiction
