  It's a not entirely successful adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel, directed by David Lynch.

  It has some interesting production design, a wildly varied cast, makes little sense without reading the book and can best be described as a sprawling mess with a little promise.

  I look forward to the day when it gets a proper outing on the big screen but if you're into a big budget curio that flopped then give it a go.
