my fourth kiarostami's and it's the third time i've experienced a profound feeling of genuine pursuit of understanding and humaneness from him. my first movie was Certified Copy and I had no inkling of what was happening... Close-Up personally feels like watching Certified Copy for the second time, but this time it is so much powerful because it unweaves the very fabric of society that shapes us. every scene is meaningful on its own... oh... to just roll down on the street and be heard... to be heard... to be heard without glitch... Such a beautiful, thoughtful, and an essential mixture of reality and fiction 💖
