Blue Velvet 1986
i don't even know how to rate this one... it's first lynch movie, and i genuinely don’t know how to feel about it. it’s like being trapped inside a straight man’s brain for two hours, and unfortunately, that brain is filled with violence, misogyny, and weirdly specific lighting choices. Visually? Stunning. Conceptually? Disturbing. But not in a "wow, deep", but in a "was all this necessary?" way.
