Black Christmas 1974
Even though Black Christmas in general certainly was quite a bit rough around the edges, it sure had some spine-chilling parts. The scarier scenes in this film just had me filled with pure dread and made me want to crawl up deep under my covers, something which a film hasn't managed made me feel in a long while.

Rush Hour 1998
Very rare to see a movie combine comedy and action in as an effective way as Rush Hour so effortlessly does. The combined on screen presence of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker really is a spectacle to behold, as their interactions feel like the textbook answer of expressive and comedic dialogue. However the real star in this story is the playfulness of the script, as it doesn't shy away from putting the characters in hilarious and ridiculous situations and then letting Lee and Carter play them through.

Alien: Covenant 2017
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Alien: Covenant misrepresents everything that made the original movie a masterpiece. While it manages to have incredibly boring characters that the audience couldn't care less if they were murdered in space with no charectarisation and no development at all, a horrible and repetitive plot structure that makes you wonder if the writers was trying to create a sequel to groundhog day, a complete lack of tension of any kind (in a "thriller" no less), pacing worse than a sloth drag…
