Whiteley accomplishes the impossible: making Mitt Romney look human. The expert filmmaking puts watchers through the emotional toll of election campaigning. Mitt is an immersive, beautifully crafted, and unique addition to the documentary genre.

Every actor, every scene, and every line built this film to be a stunning portrayal of the emotional stresses and questions of motherhood and family. That said, Michael Cera is in it, so that's an automatic -1/2 star. For a movie about a process and a question I will never encounter firsthand, I was moved dangerously close to tears.

    ★★★

Don't Worry Darling is a rather simplistic film. It asserts a surface level discussion of the tensions between freedom and comfort. In my view the experience was only made enjoyable due to being in a theatre full of students who were incapable of taking Harry Styles seriously and applauded every time a man died.

The masterful construction of sexual tension in Top Gun makes this specific edition of Department of Defense propaganda uniquely consumable. I'm sure many young men died in Iraq due to the influence of the film, however with an excellent soundtrack and a heart wrenching story, one has to come to the understanding that their sacrifices were not in vain.
