  i am weirdly glad to not have seen this in the theatre because it would’ve been 10x more intense. 

  i don’t even know what to say. i didn’t know what to expect. the first person pov was a big surprise (i hadn’t seen any trailers for it), one of the elements that made its cinematography so singular. 
  the dream sequences were so disturbing in a fascinating way. 
  this is such an artistic film, definitely not for general audiences but a story that needs to be heard, no matter how difficult that may be. 

  i couldn’t stop crying. my partner cried in his sleep.

  would’ve been decent if it wasn’t for the blatant racism, the creepy age gap (scarlett johansson was 17 when she shot this?!), and the blandness of the main characters, who are just as interesting as a bag of flour.
