I wanted to like this movie more. It presents well, eerie atmosphere, great cinematography, but feels a bit hallow. The mystery rarely amounts to any payoffs and the story structure barely holds up its familiar horror tropes. But credit to Cage’s performance as Nicolas Cage cosplaying Michael Jackson.

The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014
I usually hate movies you can easily scoff off as pretentious. However, I loved this. Wes really gets in his bag, an artist playing with all his paint and brushes, creating a masterpiece only he could craft.
