I loved the book and while parts of the movie lived up to the book some fell short. Changing the characters and a lot of the plot didn’t really do it for me. My favorite parts were the visuals, costumes, set decor. The CGI skeletons were mid and the relationships between the characters didn’t always make sense. Like why did Jake and Emma fall in love so quickly? The monsters were scary and I loved when Mrs. Peregrine morphed into a falcon. The book is just better than the movie man.

Brooklyn 2015
Watched this one on a Delta flight and really enjoyed it. The acting was wonderful and I really connected to the story of trying to find your place in the world while being pulled in so many different directions. Love Saoirse Ronan, she’s just a delight on screen every time.

Such a heartbreaking portrait. As soon as she thinks she has control it’s ripped away because of class and gender issues for people that don’t respect her at all. The saddest was the end when she tried to service that guy that was nice to her because it’s the only way she knows how but she fucking hated it and didn’t want to. Awful.
