This premise sounded fun, and yet the reality was an insipid feature that tonally tried to achieve awkward-relatable and instead sunk into awkward-cringe. Besides an applaud-worthy attempt by Emily Hampshire, the jokes did not land. The suburbs of Montreal in the dead of winter are not sexy, and no attribute of this movie convinced me otherwise.
