  one of the few movies my highschool self regarded highly that actually holds up. i don't think it's good but it is fun and silly. ive grown to hate dreamy 80s teen movies but this one works because they're murderers. i love how they kill people and they just die like it's new vegas and the plot develops from that. the j in jd really stands for joker lmao what a clown. winona ryder slays as always. id watch this movie again and again. extra half stars for the dead gay sons.

  there are no bottoms in this movie. this movie is not gay. there is no energy driving this movie, things just happen. every scene feels like really shitty improv. i know they're not trying to do realism, but it also isn't good parody. every joke is lazy as fuck. they didn't bother to give a single character anything resembling an arc. this movie is homophobic. i really hate it.

  half a star because at least it all looks very nice.

  I know James Gunn set out to revive superhero movies lest they die off... and I'm sorry bro but the mangled corpse you're trying to save already died over a year ago. I'm so tired of superhero schlock jfc. Every wacky element of this movie works and is really well thrown together, but at the end of the day it's another movie about Americans going to a random country, "saving" the day, and "winning" a battle in the forever war.…
