I love the cinematography. I love the acting. I love the ending. I love the subtle directorial moments that reveal the protagonist's emotional state. With just a glance or two, we can dissect what the film might mean and what the character could be experiencing. I love films that make you think like that, and Perfect Days delivers exactly that experience. Even though the character's repetitive daily routine might seem monotonous at times, small moments of conflict become incredibly compelling…

    ★★★½

Great performances from Franz Rogowski and Barry Keoghan. The direction had a strong and unique voice to it and the atmosphere of the lower class world of the UK draws you in. However, a major flaw resides with the character of Bailey, whether it be the way she was wrote or the way she was portrayed. This flaw made her less sympathetic and prevented the overall message of the story sticking with the audience.

But one of the best uses of Yellow by Coldplay.

    ★★½

Steve McQueen makes his grandest production ever with Blitz. The cinematography, the music, the set design were all amazing and immerse you in its period. However, the story falls flat as characters are underdeveloped, the plot is predictable, and the ending is abrupt. This film is a stark contrast to McQueen’s past films as it has nothing to say and nothing unique to bring.
