Joker: Folie à Deux 2024
Afraid to commit to being a musical. Afraid to commit to being a comic book tale. Afraid to commit to any sort of coherent political ideology. I honestly can't think of a single reason for this movie to exist besides the fact that the first film made a handful of people quite a lot of money and they couldn't help but see if they could squeeze out a little more.
The Joker is a loser, but he's not even half as much a loser in Todd Phillips' eyes as the poor saps he's peddling this movie to.

There's an innocuous little scene during the second half of Under the Skin that's stuck with me even more than some of the more disturbing fare (and how disturbing indeed):
