  Great example of something that got saved in the edit—first third manages to set things up really nicely and engagingly despite the total reliance on voiceover and despite the fact that we never get to see the beginning of the relationship with Naomi Ackie? Do we even hear her say a full, uninterrupted line of dialogue in the first hour? 80 min? Wild, we just have to believe that they have this perfect unique love.   Totally rules, I loved the four opening vignettes, and it’s constantly said but friedkins documentary style is so refreshing. It almost feels without author or narrator or perspective.
