I remember thinking I had an irrational hatred for this movie growing up because it kept coming on TV around Christmas and I would always end up watching it with others against my will, so this was an attempt to judge once and for all to see if I was just being a hater.
The animation still sucks, the faces are still terrifying, the characters are still whiny and annoying, and the story is padded out so much longer than it needed to be. But I guess you can expect that from an adaptation of a short children's book. Only redeeming quality is the music.
