How to Build a Girl 2019
this movie fell so flat for me. I enjoyed the book a lot and was excited to see this. Sadly, the changes to the storyline in this adaptation made a sweet and uplifting, if at times cringy, story of a girl trying to reinvent herself into a story about a girl who finds quick success and allows it to go straight to her head and make her a mean and insufferable person. In the movie Johanna is extremely unlikeable.

The Last Five Years 2014
I've seen this movie 4 times. first time I saw it I can't say that I loved it but I find myself longing to watch it again and liking it more and more each rewatch. it's heartbreaking and oddly comforting. Anna Kendrick is fantastic in it and plays Cathy with such raw sadness it makes my heart break. I can agree with some reviews about the filming not being great but I still give it 5 stars.
