Perfect Days took me across the ocean, where I discovered the beauty, simplicity, and grace of a humble life that provides everything, if only we take the time to listen.   Babygirl is a film that seeks to provoke, attempting to do so on multiple levels. I’m glad it finally tries to present a female perspective, tackling compromises between work, success, family, and one’s deepest desires, as well as themes like female empowerment, sexual repression, and monogamy. It aims to speak to everyone and almost educate the viewer…it tries.
