i’m floored by how painfully beautiful this movie is. i really appreciated the editing choices in this movie. especially when marianne was painting heloise from memory, we didn’t see any flash cuts to heloise at all, no cut scenes fading in and out. it was a steady shot of marianne simply painting. it made the viewer also try to recreate and remember what heloise’s features looked like. made the viewer really focus…
