This year's Tár or Joker - the emptiest movie passing itself off as a smart, educated take on a current hot topic made by and aimed at the kind of people who've read or watched more about the subject than they'll ever experience. Full of borderline offensive stereotypes and toothlessly self-serious until it turns into A Very Special Episode of the Catholic Church, this would have been a better movie if had paid off any of the more interesting stuff it planted or had, as my wife said, been as campy as Tucci is in it.

Maybe it's because I lived through that period, but watching this again I started to feel that there's an inherent creepiness to those old computers and monitors. Why were they so damn big?
